Them. Bad or good.

noviembre 12, 2009

Canción.

Nombre: Bad or good.

· · ·

Letra:

Everybody got some soul, I don’t care about young or old, gotta hold on when all is gone, make out like it’s fine. While we say yeah (bad or good), oh yeah (bad or good), yeah (bad or good), yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah (bad or good), that’ll ever happen (bad or good), everybody (bad or good) sometimes, oh, oh yeah.

Don’t even have to say one word, and it’s nothing that we’ve seen or heard, get out, get out, jump and shout, they’d like to know what it’s all about. Just say yeah (bad or good), oh yeah (bad or good), and it’s alright baby (bad or good), gotta happen (bad or good), everybody (bad or good), sometimes (bad or good), some sweet time, ooo-ooo.

If there’s something baby, you want me to do, come on over here and I’ll see about you, yeah I’ll make ya shake it all about, jump and shout. Just say yeah (bad or good), oh yeah (bad or good), wah ooo (bad or good, bad or good), that’ll happen, everybody (bad or good), sometime (bad or good). At sometime (bad or good), oh yeah yeah (bad or good), oh yeah (bad or good).

Buffalo Springfield. Out of my mind.

octubre 25, 2009

Canción.

Nombre: Out of my mind.

· · ·

Letra:

Out of my mind, and I just can’t take it anymore. Left behind, by myself and what I’m living for, all I hear are screams from outside the limousines, that are taking me.

Out of my mind , through the keyhole in an open door, happy to find, that I don’t know what I’m smiling for, tired of hanging on, if you’ve missed me, I’ve just gone, cause they’re taking me, out of my mind.

Out of my mind, and I just can’t take it anymore, left behind, by myself and what I’m living for, all I hear are screams from outside the limousines, that are taking me, out of my mind.

Cream. The coffee song.

octubre 22, 2009

Canción.

Nombre: The coffee song.

· · ·

Letra:

There’s a full time reservation, made in a bar at the railway station, and there’s a story, a kind of fable, on a card at the corner table. On it is a message; been there some time. It starts off, “The coffee tasted so fine…”

It says, “One day, this may find you, these few words may just remind you. We sat here together just to pass time, you said how the coffee tasted so fine.”

It goes on to say, “I love you, if you should find this I must hear from you”. It gives a number but the name has faded away. All that is left are just the words, “Maybe someday…”

That’s the story and the fable; Never leave alone from a corner table. Doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo, doo doo-doo doo doo-doo doo doo doo doo.

The Marvelettes. Danger! Heartbreak dead ahead.

octubre 20, 2009

Canción en video de imágenes. Canción.

Nombre: Danger! Heartbreak dead ahead.

· · ·

Letra:

When you give more than you get, you’re in danger (you’re in danger), you may find that you’re in love with a stranger (with a stranger), for who knows what evil lurks within the hearts of men? It’s vanity, insanity to play when you can’t win, when you find that you’re losing, it’s time to get on moving, ‘cause there’s danger: heartbreak dead ahead.

It only takes one second, girl, to learn (to learn), that playing with fire will get you burned (get you burned), now girl, don’t you be foolish, they say that love is blind, but it’s clear as the highway sign, that reads “Danger: heartbreak dead ahead”, heartbreak dead ahead.

Read the sign, girl; you’d better mind, girl, yeah, danger: heartbreak dead ahead. Once the lying starts, start packing up your heart, listen to me, girl, when there’s nothing to be gained, don’t keep goin’ on in vain, ‘cause there’s danger: heartbreak dead ahead, I said there’s danger, I said there’s danger …& fade.

Nombre: She said she said.

Letra:

She said she said she said I know what it’s like to be dead, I know what it is to be sad, and she’s making me feel like I’ve never been born. I said who put all those things in your hair, things that ake me feel that I’m mad.

And you’re making me feel like I’ve never been born, she said you don’t understand what I said, I said: no, no, no, you’re wrong, when I was a boy everything was right, everything was right. I said Even though you know what you know, I know that I’m ready to leave, ‘cause you’re making me feel like I’ve never been born.

She said you don’t understand what I said, I said: no, no, no, you’re wrong, when I was a boy everything was right, everything was right. I said: even though you know what you know, I know that I’m ready to leave, ‘cause you’re making me feel like I’ve never been born.

The Seeds. Pushin’ too hard.

octubre 1, 2009

Video en directo. Canción.

Nombre: Pushin’ too hard.

· · ·

Letra:

You’re pushin’ too hard, uh-pushin’ on me, you’re pushin’ too hard, uh-what you want me to be, you’re pushin’ too hard about the things you say, you’re pushin’ too hard every night and day, you’re pushin’ too hard, Pushin’ too hard on me (too hard).

Well all I want is to just be free, live my life the way I wanna be, all I want is to just have fun, live my life like it’s just begun, but you’re pushin’ too hard, pushin’ too hard on me (too hard).

Well, better listen girl to what I’m tellin’ you, you better listen girl, or we are through, you better stop all your foolin’ around, stop your runnin’ all over town, ‘cause you’re pushin’ too hard, pushin’ too hard on me (too hard).

Well I know there’s a lotta fish in the sea, I know some would-uh stay by me, so if you don’t think I’m gonna try, you better ask yourself the reason why, ‘cause you’re pushin’ too hard, pushin’ too hard on me (too hard).

Pushin’ too hard, pushin’ too hard, pushin’ too hard, pushin’ too hard, pushin’ too hard, pushin’ too hard, pushin’ too hard on me (too hard).

Bob Dylan. Visions of Johanna.

septiembre 26, 2009

Video en directo. Canción.

Información de la canción.

Nombre: Visions of Johanna.

· · ·

Letra:

Ain’t it just like the night to play tricks when you’re tryin’ to be so quiet? We sit here stranded, though we’re all doin’ our best to deny it, and Louise holds a handful of rain, temptin’ you to defy it, lights flicker from the opposite loft, in this room the heat pipes just cough, the country music station plays soft, but there’s nothing, really nothing to turn off, just Louise and her lover so entwined, and these visions of Johanna that conquer my mind.

In the empty lot where the ladies play blindman’s bluff with the key chain, and the all-night girls they whisper of escapades out on the “D” train, we can hear the night watchman click his flashlight, ask himself if it’s him or them that’s really insane, Louise, she’s all right, she’s just near, she’s delicate and seems like the mirror, but she just makes it all too concise and too clear, that Johanna’s not here, the ghost of ‘lectricity howls in the bones of her face, where these visions of Johanna have now taken my place.

Now, little boy lost, he takes himself so seriously, he brags of his misery, he likes to live dangerously, and when bringing her name up, he speaks of a farewell kiss to me, he’s sure got a lotta gall to be so useless and all, muttering small talk at the wall while I’m in the hall, how can I explain? Oh, it’s so hard to get on, and these visions of Johanna, they kept me up past the dawn.

Inside the museums, Infinity goes up on trial, voices echo this is what salvation must be like after a while, but Mona Lisa musta had the highway blues, you can tell by the way she smiles, see the primitive wallflower freeze, when the jelly-faced women all sneeze, hear the one with the mustache say, “Jeeze, can’t find my knees”, oh, jewels and binoculars hang from the head of the mule, but these visions of Johanna, they make it all seem so cruel.

The peddler now speaks to the countess who’s pretending to care for him, sayin’, “Name me someone that’s not a parasite and I’ll go out and say a prayer for him”, but like Louise always says, “Ya can’t look at much, can ya man?”, ss she, herself, prepares for him, and Madonna, she still has not showed, we see this empty cage now corrode, where her cape of the stage once had flowed, the fiddler, he now steps to the road, he writes ev’rything’s been returned which was owed, on the back of the fish truck that loads, while my conscience explodes, the harmonicas play the skeleton keys and the rain, and these visions of Johanna are now all that remain
