The Band. The moon struck one.

octubre 30, 2009

Canción en video.

Nombre: The moon struck one.

Letra:

Julie and little John Tyler lived in the house next door, we would be the great triangle and to this we swore, Julie was my sweetheart, little John was my cohort, and all the wild horses in the world couldn’t keep us apart, once we went for a swim in the noonday sun, and promised to return before the moon struck one.

Julie came running through the pasture–she was screaming at the sky, she fell down to her knees and the tears did fly, little John was stung by a snake over by the lake, and it looked like he s really, really hurt–he was lying in the dirt, who, we went it as fast as we could run, but we lost little John as the moon struck one.

I was vacant, Julie was a bird with a broken wing, we were always afraid of what tomorrow might bring, we’ll drive down to Durango–up and leave this place, and maybe forget the triangle with a change of pace, the car broke down when we had just begun, and we walked back to the house while the moon struck one.

My Morning Jacket. I needed it most.

octubre 28, 2009

Canción en video de imágenes.

Nombre: I needed it most.

Letra:

I needed it most, when I was eighteen. But now that im older, I don’t need many things. Just someone to hold, that’s what you give me. When dark touches your skull baby, aw babe you can drop that on me.

So I say lord, all the heavens you’ve made, can’t hold back the ghosts that haunt my baby and me. Oh can’t ye hold em back, form comin on in, to a lovely woman, that jus wans her mind back again.

I cannot crumble, what you want this to be. Or bring peace of mind, if it ain’t there to see. Aw if you don’t know yourself, how could you ever know me. But to have and to hold you, yeah that’s the way it’s gotta be.

Van Morrison. Into the mystic.

octubre 25, 2009

Canción.

Información de la canción.

Nombre: Into the mystic.

· · ·

Letra:

We were born before the wind, also younger than the sun, Ere the bonnie boat was won as we sailed into the mystic, Hark, now hear the sailors cry, smell the sea and feel the sky, let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic. And when that fog horn blows I will be coming home, and when the fog horn blows I want to hear it, I don’t have to fear it.

And I want to rock your gypsy soul, just like way back in the days of old, and magnificently we will flow into the mystic. When that fog horn blows you know I will be coming home, and when that fog horn whistle blows I got to hear it, I don’t have to fear it.

And I want to rock your gypsy soul, just like way back in the days of old, and together we will flow into the mystic, come on girl…

The Jayhawks. Real light.

octubre 6, 2009

Video en directo. Canción.

Nombre: Real light.

· · ·

Letra:

Keep my real light shining, keep my real light shining. You were there to walk for miles, then you went away, look at all the ways we’ve been, and how we’ve been today. Shakin’ like a friend of mine, roll just like a stone, listen to your eyes in mine, always let me know.

Keep my real light shining, keep my real light shining, shining, shining down, shining, shining, shining down. People fight, criticize, follow in the haze, look behind their peace of mind, some things never change.

Keep my real light shining, keep my real light shining, keep my real light shining, shining, shining down, shining, shining, shining down.

My Morning Jacket. I think I’m going to hell.

octubre 5, 2009

Video en directo.

Nombre: I think I’m going to hell.

· · ·

Letra:

Down in the city, the flames gathered round. Churches and buildings in ashes on the ground, they think they’re going to hell.

Out in the hollow, it drown out the crowd, and I think my other would kill me, if she knew what I was about. I think I’m going to hell…

Devils and demons are coming, lovers and children beware, devils and demons are coming… to take me to hell. To take me to hell. To take me to hell.
